Last week, Deacon Bernardo Ross, LC, gave an inspiring talk on striving for Christian joy in both our spiritual and professional lives. Dcn. Ross was the perfect speaker for our community of young Catholic professionals, who seek to bear witness to Christ in the workplace and discover holiness and purpose in the work God has entrusted to us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Working in Joy, and a special thank you to Dcn. Ross for reminding us that our faith doesn’t stop when we walk into the office. Our work can be a place where we encounter Christ, serve others, and pursue holiness. We’re grateful to continue building a community of young professionals striving to live their faith in every part of their lives.

Join us at our next panel discussion event on Wednesday, October 28th at All Saints, where our panel of speakers will discuss building virtue, purpose, and perseverance in the professional world. More details to come!

Deacon Bernardo Ross, LC, (Bernardo Ross LC) is a religious brother in formation with the Legionaries of Christ, currently based in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 after a profound conversion from a secular collegiate lifestyle. During these years he discerned a call to consecrated life, a journey that now enables him to connect deeply with young adults searching for authentic purpose and direction.

During his 11 years of formation, Deacon Bernardo began to focus on pastoral ministry with young adults and the promotion of Catholic leadership. Through his work with Regnum Christi, he has accompanied many young people in their spiritual growth, helping them discern their vocation and discover their mission within the Church.

Deacon Bernardo is especially passionate about evangelization through modern media. Through platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, he seeks to present the Catholic faith in a clear, engaging, and intellectually honest way for a generation navigating questions of meaning, vocation, and truth. By creatively engaging with contemporary cultural trends and “baptizing” elements of secular culture, he enters into dialogue with the modern world in order to make the richness of the Catholic tradition accessible to a wider audience.
