Please, please consider helping Iris. She needs a hero by tomorrow. Iris is very sweet, however she needs an active family that will give her lots of structure. Iris is about 1 year old and was found as a stray a few months ago. This cutie found a family to love her and care for her, however things are just not working out.

Iris needs a foster today 🙏🙏

Unfortunately, Iris family can’t keep her any longer and she’ll be heading to the shelter today. We truly want to help Iris but we need a foster in order to do so. Her family has gone above and beyond for her but due to her behavioral issues they can’t keep her any longer. Iris needs an active family, a family that will give her structure, and be patience with her. Iris does okay with other dogs but due to her energy level she’ll do better as an only dog or with a dog that’s also very active. Iris likes kids but she’ll do best in a home with kids over the age of 6 since she’s so active and doesn’t like people come near her food.

Update on our BBR Vice president’s dog 🐶

Today Sophie had a mass removed as well as 8 teeth extractions. Thank you to all those that have donated towards Sophie, as her mommy has being dealing with lots of vet bills the last few months. We are still trying to raise more funds. Originally, the vet quoted everything to be $1,600 but it was actually $2,300 so more funds are needed.

Since 2013, we’ve been helping dogs in need across Houston and surrounding areas. Rescue work is built on tears, sacrifice, personal funds, long days, and time away from our families — and from our own pets — all to give abandoned and at-risk dogs a second chance at life.

Rescue is one of the most selfless and underappreciated acts of service — yet also one of the most rewarding, because lives are saved and families are made whole.

Today, one of our own needs help.

My rescue partner with Brave Bully Rescue- Catherine Ramirez-Martinez, who has done so much for our mission and for countless dogs, is facing a heavy emotional and financial burden. She has lost two of her beloved dogs to cancer in recent months, and now another is facing a possible tumor diagnosis. As anyone who loves their pets knows — we never give up on them — but the medical costs can become overwhelming.

I’m asking our animal lovers and rescue community to please come together and support her during this difficult time. Sometimes the helpers need help too — so they can continue caring for their own and keep fighting for others.
