Many thanks to the Houstonian Community for supporting the “Seeds of Hope” Project of Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) for small farmers affected by the astronomical floods of June-26-Oct-2-2025 in Pakistan.
This project of HHRD is to bring much Hope By the Grace of our Creator, through Food Security for more than 1,200 Flood Affected Families.
Funds were raised by the Houstonian Community for the Short & Long Term Projects Post-The-Floods-of-2025, at an event on October 29, 2025, in Houston, under the Alliance For Disaster Relief (AFDR), the Pakistani-American Association of Greater Houston (PAGH), the Houston Karachi Sister City Association (HKSCA), the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America – South Texas Chapter (APPNA-STC), and HHRD.
The first sets of seeds were distributed to 100 Small Farmers on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Chak 65KB in District Vehari, Southern Punjab.
Despite the devastating impact of the 2025 Pakistan floods, the resilient people of Pakistan are determined in rebuilding their lives, and overseas Pakistanis are coming forward to assist them (much more is needed).
As part of Pakistan Floods Recovery & Rehabilitation efforts, HHRD on behalf of the Houstonians distributed fodder seeds, wheat seeds, and vegetable seeds to 100 local farmers – empowering producers, reviving livelihoods, and building long-term resilience.
Together, we are sowing hope, restoring communities, and nurturing a stronger future.
100s of more farmers and communities will be helped in weeks, months, & years to come.
