As we celebrate Homecoming Week, the PVAMU National Alumni Association Houston Chapter proudly congratulates two of our own, Judge Erica Hughes and Dr. Tammeka Nickleberry DDS , on their recognition at the inaugural Legends of Excellence Distinguished Alumni Awards Gala.

Judge Hughes received the Distinguished Public Service & Leadership Award, and Dr. Nickleberry received the Distinguished Professional Achievement Award.

Their journeys have taken them into different professions, but both serve as powerful examples of what it means to carry the PV legacy into the world. Their accomplishments are a source of pride not only for our chapter, but for the entire Panther family.

Homecoming reminds us of where we came from. Alumni like these two remind us of what we can become.

Please join us in celebrating these outstanding women and the impact they continue to make! šŸ¾šŸ’œšŸ’›

Legends of Excellence: Distinguished Alumni Awards is a signature Prairie View A&M University event honoring exceptional alumni whose leadership, service, achievement and impact reflect the Universityā€™s enduring legacy.

Held during PVAMUā€™s Sesquicentennial and Homecoming celebration, the evening will recognize distinguished honorees through an elevated dinner and awards experience.

This is not a typical awards dinner. The evening will be hosted by actor and producer Charnele Brown, with music from actor, singer and director Andre Pitre. Together, they will guide a produced evening of dinner, story, music and celebration, moving the room from one honoree to the next.
