SHPE Houston Professional We are a network of mentors, role models, and leaders in STEM brought together to inspire, motivate, and empower the Greater Houston Hispanic community.

In alignment with SHPE National, the function of SHPE Houston Professional Chapter is to encourage members to confer and to make suggestions with respect to matters of policy, to study local problems affecting Hispanic STEM professionals and technical educators, to cooperate with other chapters or organizations in matters of common interest, to achieve closer personal acquaintance and a spirit of

Ready to step into leadership or know someone who would be a great fit? This is your chance to help shape the future of SHPE Houston 💼✨

🗓 The Officer Nominations Form will remain open until Friday, April 3rd at 11:59 PM.
After the deadline, the Nominations/Elections Committee will contact eligible nominees within the following week.

✅ Nominations are open to EVERYONE — you may nominate yourself or someone you believe is suitable for the role.

📌 Eligibility Requirement:
Candidates for President, Vice President of Internal Affairs, Vice President of External Affairs, Secretary, and Treasurer must:
• Have past SHPE board experience (from any SHPE chapter)
• Be a current SHPE Houston member

Join us for a special SHPEtina bouquet making event in collaboration between SHPE UH and SHPE Houston Professional! Come unwind, get creative, and build community while designing your own beautiful floral arrangement to take home or gift to a special woman in your life in honor of Women’s History Month! 💐✨

The event will be Thursday, March 12th at CBB 104 at the University of Houston and is open to all SHPEsters! Please fill out the interest/payment form to help us ensure we have enough supplies. It costs $5 to make a bouquet and you can either pay through the interest form beforehand or in person. We can’t wait to see you there!

After having to cancel due to the weather, we’re excited to reschedule our beginner-friendly golf lesson led by Latina Links Golf Club! Whether you’re a pro or have never picked up a golf club before, this is your chance to learn the basics of a fun sport alongside other incredible ladies in STEM 💚
