ACE At Rice

ACE At Rice ACE@Rice seeks to strengthen academic writing skills and motivate high school students to pursue further education after they graduate.

The mission of the ACE @ Rice is to develop cultural and academic programs that foster relationships between Rice, Houston communities and various urban high schools in Houston. ACE@Rice is a collective of graduate and undergraduate students on Rice’s campus that represent a diverse array of research interests and academic strengths. We host writing workshops on Rice’s campus and at participating

high schools and offer students guidance in applying to college. Our goal is to improve student’s academic skills and reduce the achievement gap within H.I.S.D Title I schools, specifically, as these are often overlooked in other high school outreach programs across campus.
