TEDx Third Ward is done.
Cohort 3 was our last one, and there won't be a September event this year.
This was initially only supposed to be ONE event last year.
One night. That's it.
This all started in 2024 with a group of people sitting around a table.
Me trying to prove that Third Ward had ideas worth putting on a stage. Somehow that turned into three events, 82 speakers, and over a million views on YouTube.
And I learned something about myself doing this.
The part I loved was never the event itself. It was the work nobody sees.
Sitting with somebody for hours helping them figure out what they're really trying to say.
Pushing people to get out of their own head. Watching somebody finally get vulnerable and say the real thing.
So I'm not going anywhere. I'm just moving where I've always been most useful, which is behind the scenes. Working with speakers, event organizers, anybody who's got something to say and needs help getting it out. Book, stage, screen, whatever it is.
And check this out. I'm already helping produce events in two other states. TWO.
Who knew? What we started in Third Ward is traveling now.
To every speaker who trusted me with their idea, every volunteer, everybody who ever bought a ticket and showed up.
