When a family is facing an urgent need, the right support at the right time can make the next step possible.

Through July, ECHOS provided nearly $288,000 in direct financial support to families, including more than $213,000 in rental assistance.

But those numbers represent more than financial help.

They can mean staying safely housed, having time to make a plan, or being able to focus on work, education, health, and the next steps toward greater stability.

At ECHOS, we work to help families address immediate needs while connecting them with resources that can support what comes next.

ECHOS is hiring a Bilingual Housing Stability Case Manager (Spanish/English) to support individuals and families in our community.

We’re looking for a compassionate, organized professional who enjoys helping people connect with practical resources and work toward greater housing stability.

Candidates must be bilingual in Spanish and English and have a high school diploma. A college degree, Community Health Worker certification, and experience in case management, housing stability, social services, or community-based client service are preferred.

ECHOS offers competitive hourly pay, health insurance, a retirement pension, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.

The regular schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Monday staff meetings begin at 7:30 a.m.

Finding a safe place to live can be an important first step. For many families, the journey toward stability continues from there.

At ECHOS, support can begin with an immediate need, but it often grows into something more.

Families may come to us needing help with housing, food, health services, or another urgent concern. From there, our team helps connect them with resources, identify next steps, and work toward goals that can support greater stability over time.

That may mean pursuing education or job training, connecting with health and social services, or making a plan for stronger financial stability.

Every family’s path is different, but the goal is the same: helping people access the resources they need to keep moving forward.

This is what the work at ECHOS is about, meeting today’s needs while helping families prepare for what comes next.

Sometimes, the first step toward stability is simply knowing where to turn.

We’ll call her “Sally.” She is a mother of four young children who came to ECHOS after leaving a domestic violence situation. For several days, she and her children stayed with a friend. When that was no longer possible, they moved temporarily into a motel.

Then one important connection was made.

The motel staff knew ECHOS. They had worked with us before and referred Sally to our team.

That referral opened the door to support. Sally enrolled in one of our Family Stability programs, and our staff began helping her identify a safe, appropriate place for her family to live.

Today, Sally and her children have a home, and her journey continues.

This is why community connections matter. When people know about ECHOS, they can help someone else find support when it is needed most.
