The Houston Electrical League is committed to providing networking and educational opportunities in the electrical industry. The Engineering Technology Conference fits the bill on both fronts.

There were 16 technical presentations from which over 200 attending Engineers were able to select 5 to attend and attain Professional Development Hours. Dr. Lee Allison, Associate Professor in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, joined us this year speaking on the timely topic “Power & Principles: Engineering Ethics in the AI Era”.

A huge shout out to all our Sponsors, especially our Presenters, Exhibitors & Meal Sponsor, which makes this event possible and generated over $20K for our Scholarship Fund.

The “Passport to Exhibits” drove traffic to the exhibits, including multiple live demos. All 35 exhibiting companies expressed interest in participating in our April 15, 2026 event.

HEL’s Kilowatt Kookers celebrated their 30th anniversary as a team this year! We served nearly 1,500 of plates of BBQ, enjoyed a new tent layout, and kept the dancefloor full until closing time. We want to thank all of you for sponsoring and attending this great event that continues to contribute to HELSF in a big way! We also took a top ten spot in the rib category… we hope to bring in a few more people next year to try our BBQ! 😉
