who inspire to be a rising voice in the community, someone who will run with such platform and bring more awerness in the way African-American beauty is portrayed. Each competitor has the opportunity to partake in educational forums and events that focus on the importance of health, self esteem, giving back, the enlightenment of one's true beauty, and other major issues plaguing the African-American community.
