Hey it's me Wilma and I truly need everybody's help right now I'm still in the hospital Methodist Hospital close to the close to downtown HoustonDear Supporters and Friends,
I wanted to reach out and give everyone an update. As of Wednesday night, I am still in the hospital. Following my surgery, doctors found 3 bacteria in my throat instead of two, and one also grew in my blood culture. I am currently on three different IV antibiotics. My white blood cell count has been fluctuating, but thankfully my fever has been down. My throat is still super sore, and I am so ready to go home because I have so much to do.
My birthday is coming up on September 2nd, and God willing, I am planning to do a major fundraiser for our land. There is no way I can stay in here that long! Please rest assured that all the animals are being well taken care of. My granddaughter, my daughter, my son, and my worker are all stepping up to handle everything on a daily basis. We have even welcomed some new puppies and three other dogs since I’ve been admitted.
We recently had a fence go down in the back under a tree. My workers have listed everything needed for that and some other fence repairs. We were able to get $800 worth of supplies, but we still need another $1,800 to finish purchasing what is required.
Between my hospitalization and focusing on the land, it feels like people have forgotten we are still here. We are always in need of dry dog food, dry cat food, puppy food, flea medication, dog wormer, and cleaning supplies (OdorBan, Clorox bleach, Pine-Sol). We did get an extension on our land until October, which is a blessing, as this whole year has been a fight with my health. If you are interested in adopting, please let me know. It is taking me a day or so to get back to everyone because I haven't felt up to being on social media, but I will respond.
