Peking University Alumni Association of Houston (PKUAAH) Houston Beida Alumni Association (BAA) is a non-profit, non-political organization established at Houston, Texas in 1997.

PKUAAH is a non-profit, non-political organization established at Houston, Texas in 1997 for the Alumni at Houston graduated from either Peking University or former Beijing Medical University, to facility internal and external collaboration. BAA is the association for the Alumni at Houston graduated from either Peking University (PKU) or former Beijing Medical University (BMU). The goal of the ass

ociation is to continue the honored tradition of "Science and Democracy" originated at Peking University; by way of a variety of activities, to foster connection, trust and cooperation among alumni and connection with other alumni organizations; to assist in connection between Beida alumni in the U.S. and the alma mater; to promote exchange of information on culture, academic research, science and technology, and economy, in order to contribute to the prosperity of China.
休斯敦北京大学校友会是在美国德克萨斯州政府注册的非政治性、非盈利性的团体组织由休斯敦及邻近地区的北大校友组成。北大校友系指曾经在北京大学和原北京医科大学学习及工作过的师生员工。校友会的宗旨是通过各种形式的活动，增强北大校友间的相互了解，信任，帮助与合作，弘扬北大“科学与民主”的优良传统，促进在美国的北大校友与母校之间在文化，学术，科技，及商业信息等方面的交流，为祖国的繁荣富强尽心尽力。

United We Stand

Since the kickoff of “United We Stand” donation campaign, cumulatively Houston Beida Allumni Association has received donation requests from 68 hospitals, spanning 11 states and 31 cities. Donation requests come from all of the general hospitals in Houston Medical Center, leading hospitals in New York City, state of Washington and California.

As of this moment, Houston Beida Alumni Association has delivered PPE supplies to the frontline health care workers in 22 hospitals, including those in Texas, 3 hardest hit hospitals in NYC, and one emergency care center in California.

As demand significantly outpacing supply, your generous donation will go a long way in helping frontline health care staff equipped with enough protective gear while they bring the light of hope to COVID-19 patients.

Please be sure to enter in United We Stand. Name/Organization (e.g., Beida)/City (e.g., Houston) in the memo field during QuickPay or Zelle transfer.

第二届北京大学休斯敦校友会乒乓联谊赛

亲爱的休斯敦北大校友们和友人们，

你是否厌倦了办公室或实验室里重复的生活？是否总想找个机会活动活动筋骨，结交点新朋友？或者你只是想在2012年过去之前给自己一个不一样的周末？来和我们一起打球看球吧！

我们校友会将于12月8日下午1点到6点在中华文化服务中心举办第二届北大休斯敦校友会乒乓球联谊赛。我们诚挚邀请校友和亲朋们前来参赛，观赛，以球会友。

活动以乒乓球比赛为主线，男女老幼都能参与。比赛分为预赛和决赛，选手根据预赛结果分别进入三个级别的决赛，每个级别都将决出冠军。无论你是初学者，业余爱好者还是专业球员，只要拿起球拍，你就可能获奖 即使你只来观战，也可以竞猜冠亚军，为你的亲友加油的同时，也许你也可以得到一份意外的收获。

11月11日北大代表团来休斯敦招生--请校友们广为宣传

亲爱的校友和友人们，
今年母校将首次在北美公开招收全日制学生。北大派出了十位老师在内的代表团，将于11月11日下午在休斯敦大学举行招生宣讲会。招生项目包括本科生，研究生和交换学生。如果您的孩子或您认识的孩子有兴趣了解更多在北大学习和奖学金的情况，请您将这个消息转达给他们。具体信息如下：

Peking University Will Hold Recruitment Event in Houston

A delegation from Peking University will visit Houston from November 11-12 to recruit Texas talents to this elite university in China. Prof. Guan Haiting, the Vice Provost of Peking University, will lead a delegation of ten members, including administrators from the International Admissions Office and various departments of Peking University. An information session for international admissions and scholarships will be held in University of Houston 2 - 5 pm, on November 11th. Interested students, teachers, and parents are cordially invited to attend this session to learn about Peking University’s admissions and scholarships tailored for American students. Attendees will also get opportunities to discuss with delegation members about their individual applications.

Peking University was founded in 1898 as the first public higher education institution in China. According to U.S. News's 2013 ranking, Peking University is the No. 1 university in China and number 44 in the world. Peking University offers international students various degree and non-degree programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels with subjects in language, liberal art, law, medicine, basic sciences, engineering, and social studies, etc. An experience of studying on the scenic and vibrant campus of Peking University is very rewarding and life-changing.

秋景无限好，糖城再聚首--- 2012年北京大学休斯敦校友会秋季野餐会

亲爱的北京大学（包括原北京医科大学）的校友和友人们，
时光如水，岁月如歌。去年的这个季节，在被校友们改造成“北京大学糖城分校“的风
景秀丽的糖城纪念公园(Sugar Land Memorial Park)，两百多位校友和友人齐聚湖畔，
畅叙旧情，结识新友。伴着校园歌手的弹奏献唱和小北大人婀娜多姿的舞蹈，品尝着美
味的中餐和德州烧烤。那微缩版的柿子林，三角地，未名湖，学一食堂，博雅塔……种
种勾人回忆的“北大”景色都还历历在目。一年过去了，你或许会想，朋友们还好吗？
今年还会认识哪些新朋友呢？大奖会不会被我抽到呢？是时候走出门来，与大家一起分
享美好的秋景了！

11月4日，让我们再次相聚在糖城分校。校友会准备了丰富的午餐和烧烤，现场除了精
彩的文艺演出，还将有互动游戏和包括new Ipad（鄢旎律师事务所赞助）在内的多项大
