Hi, neighbors! It has been a while since this page was active but I would live to start it back up as a way to communicate and get to know each other again.

They mention the East End =)

The Washington Post is the latest national publication to fall in love with Houston. The storied paper gushes over the city. This is getting to be a nice tradition.

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is doing well.
Just wanted to remind everyone our Civic Club meeting will be today at 7pm at our usual place.
National Night Out is around the corner and we will be discussing that along with other things.
Hope to see everyone there 🙂

A collaboration with The HSUS and The Lewyt Trust, with support from Maddie’s Fund, will help keep pets and their people together. We’ve seen a huge outpouring of support for its initiative to provide free veterinary care to Houston pets whose families were impacted by Hurricane Harvey. As a result…

Hello neighbors!
I hope everyone is safe and dry.
I ventured out today a bit and noticed Sunnyland is ok and did not flood.
Please anyone with any need let me know. This is why we have a civic club, to help each other our neighbor to neighbor.

With this in mind, I went to the GRB today as I was invited by a neighbor to drop off supplies.
And I want to do more.

I will also try and see if I can get to any other shelter safely, my car is small and low.
If anyone has any donations, I am willing to take them there, you can contact me directly to meet me or have me pick them up.
Supplies needed the most are diapers, wipes, baby formula, tampons, pads, toiletries, socks, towels, blankets, underwear, medical supplies, and plus size clothing.
It also helps greatly if you can organize these things so they can better distribute them.
The need is there neighbors, and it is our duty to help.
