What a great honor to be chosen as DSG's "Difference Maker" for Black History Month! Some may think this is far fetched, but daily, throughout the day, I think about ways to better myself, communities, and the world. At the end of the day, I only do what I know which is listen, empathize, give back, advocate, and try to bring a voice to the voiceless. Coaches,
Don’t paint a broad stroke and expect all your players to fall with in that stroke. Spend a little extra time with those athletes outside that stroke and determine what obstacles have prevented them from falling within that stroke. Get to know them, build them up, encourage them and you will see great results.
