Saw the sign for the Leeland Bike Lane project posted at Columbia Tap Trail. Here's what I could find on it.

Project consists of a long-term retrofit for High Comfort (Buffered) Bike Lanes along both sides of Leeland Street from Velasco Street (Columbia Tap Trail) to Cullen Blvd. (3,500 FT) and on both sides of Cullen Boulevard from Leeland Street to Polk Street (1,000 FT).

FYI: power washing of the community streets begins today. It will continue through Sunday.

Recycling suspended until further notice. From trash company:

"For now, our priority will shift to collect the putrescible waste first. This is the material that begins to breakdown and decompose first in the Houston heat.

This means that residents need to separate their putrescible waste from their bulk waste to ensure proper and timely collection. A two-bag maximum for bulk, per home, will be picked on your scheduled service day. WCA/VF Waste Services will not be collecting carpet or construction materials as regular collection related to [coronavirus issue]."

If you are experiencing flickering lights and electricity, especially in section 2 facing Leeland, I encourage you to call center point energy to complain about a possible transformer issue. The more people who call, the more urgent they will take this. I tried calling and the residents at another house facing Leeland also called TXU. They told me it would be Monday at the earliest. Here is Center Point's number. 713-207-2222
