We had a fantastic time celebrating the Lantern Festival today! 🏮
Special thanks to Eileen Huang for inviting us to participate in the festivities. It was an honor to be part of such a vibrant community event.

We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our wonderful volunteers—Alice, Yang Yang, Annie, and Yan. Your dedication and support made all the difference. You guys are truly the best! ❤️
This marked AAACI’s first-ever booth, and we’re thrilled with the turnout and the success of the day. This is just the beginning—we’ll keep working hard and see you at the next one! 💪✨

Thank you to the Texas Bookshelf Chronicle for recognizing our efforts to fill the gap in Chinese American history in Texas and for featuring our exhibition in their latest article.

Historical records show the first Chinese Americans arrived in 1870 to help build the Houston and Texas Central Railroad. While many moved on after its completion, some remained. Those who stayed helped build and shape the history of Texas, becoming business owners, scholars, farmers, and more.

We invite anyone with stories or information about Chinese Texans who arrived before 1945 to contact us. We would love to speak with you and help uncover and share your story.

Something new for me but of course it's an existing technique

In Jan 2025, we found a picture from an autobiography Miss Chou. With several months of dedicated research, we found the building, the descendants from the China branch and US branch so we further developed this into an oral history documentary
