🏀 Basketball Camp & League Sign-Ups Extended! 🏀

We’re extending sign-ups for our PreK–2nd Grade Basketball Camp & League through Thursday, October 31st!

If your child signs up after the camp is over, they’ll still be able to participate in the league portion only — so don’t miss your chance to join!

Emmett Kelly Park Update
This morning our Public Grounds Department thoroughly wiped down the slides at Emmett Kelly Park with sanitizing wipes, and the Parks Department followed up by pressure-washing and cleaning the slides and surrounding area.

We are aware of the social media video circulating. If you notice any suspicious activity in any of our parks, please contact the Houston Police Department right away.

We appreciate the community’s concern and want to assure everyone that the playground is clean and safe to enjoy.

Just this past April, we renamed our municipal pool the Toni M. McKinney City of Houston Municipal Pool to honor the impact she had on this community. Toni’s journey at the pool began in 1993 as a lifeguard and grew into decades of service as a coach, manager, mentor, and one of the most respected lifeguard instructors in the state of Missouri.

Even in the face of her battle with cancer, Toni’s heart and strength never wavered. She continued to train, teach, and lead by example — touching countless lives along the way.

We ask that you keep her husband Boulder, her son Hunter, and her daughter Morgan in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Toni’s legacy will live on every summer at the pool that now carries her name — a place where she shaped lives, built leaders, and poured her love into this community.

We would also love for you to share your favorite photos of Toni at the pool in the comments below. We plan to create a “Memory Wall” in the community room at the pool as a lasting tribute to her life and the countless memories she helped create.
