Today, we proudly celebrate our Founder and CEO, Kara Branch, for being honored at the Wells International Foundation 10th Anniversary “Building a Legacy of Leadership” Celebration.
Kara received not one, but two distinguished recognitions — the Unsung Heroine Award and the Organization of the Year Award on behalf of Black Girls Do Engineer.
These awards reflect years of vision, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to creating access and opportunity for girls in STEM. What began as a bold idea has grown into a movement that continues to empower young innovators to see themselves as engineers, technologists, and leaders.
Kara’s leadership is rooted in service. She builds programs that change lives, opens doors that once felt closed, and creates spaces where girls are affirmed, challenged, and prepared for the future.
We are honored to stand beside a leader who pours into our community with purpose and integrity. This recognition is well deserved and a testament to the impact of Black Girls Do Engineer across Houston and beyond.
Congratulations, Kara. We are proud of you and grateful for your leadership.
