School may be winding down, but there's still some work to be done! The students living at Falls of Bellaire use the Resource Center afterschool to get help with their homework before they go home.

We want to thank Kunisha Vessel , Mr. William, Angela Mayberry, Alief ISD, Team GINI and the community for a successful community Thanksgiving meal with local residents. These partnwrs volunteered or donated turkeys for our cause. We were able to talk with residents about their interest, goals, and involvement at the center. It takes a community and we are all in it together!!! Nearly 100 families were served and we gave away about 15 Turkeys to local residents. We are more then a center we are a community!!!!

The Falls of Bellaire Resource Center crafting up for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Falls of Bellaire Resource Center got together to start the Thanksgiving holidays early. Crayons at the ready, the littlest residents got down to business. Soon rainbow turkeys were out in full force. They joined the rest of the Resource Center's colorful critter creations on the craft wall.

Great party for Halloween at the Falls of Bellaire Resource Center. It was a wonderful opportunity to show how a community supports are youngest neighbors. On to the next!

Last Friday, Apartments Are Communities scared up a lot of fun at both our Resource Centers with pre-Halloween festivities. At the Falls of Bellaire Resource Center the pre-Halloween festivities started off early in the day. Resident volunteers moved the tables and put out refreshments for the party. After the set up was complete, some of the teen volunteers tested out the face painting.

What a great event and a super job done by the residents and vendors! Special credit goes to Ms. Rosie and Ms P and their volunteers. What a great community! Anyone want to share more pictures?

Tuesday was National Night Out. A night across the country for communities to come out and meet their neighbors. No place better to do that than with our Resource Centers! The Falls of Bellaire Resource Center put together plans and had over a hundred residents come out to meet, enjoy food, music, games, a moonwalk, and the community spirit which is the heart of Apartments Are Communities. We had a super group of volunteers headed by Ms P and Ms Rosie, our Resident Coordinators, put together a great event. These are community leaders making a difference as they push forward for change and building their community. We couldn't be prouder of what they accomplished how great the community was. Great Job!

Alief Youth Organizing a Back 2 School Drive, pleas help them help others in their community!!!! LIKE and SHARE!, SHARE!, SHARE!
Great Project from our Youth EHL at the Resource Center. They're collecting school supplies for the 2015 school year.

How can you help?

Drop off supplies like: notebooks, notebook paper, markers, crayons, glue, pencils, pens, erasers, etc.
at the Falls of Bellaire Resource Center from Mon-Friday 9am to 1pm. Pick up or after-hours drop-off can be arranged if you call: 713-782-8833

Please share our event to get the word out!

On 7/21/2015, they will hold an event to pass out the supplies.

The Youth EHL is working really hard to help their community meet the needs of other kids. They have been there and needed help, they want to make sure that every kid starts the year off right!
