We had a jam-packed couple of days at the Theatre Musicians' Association Conference in Dallas, Texas!

Our Chapter President, Alex Navarro, reported on the state of Houston’s Musical Theater Scene, which covered major events from our last season, our networking event last fall, our now 6️⃣ CBAs, our education initiative with TUTS and Klein High School, and our informative and flashy newsletter and social media presence. Houston made a strong showing at TMA! 👏

We continue to welcome new members—first time members can join now and have their membership annual dues cover through all of 2027! 🤩

We hope to see y’all at our Bi-Annual Meeting on Monday, August 10th!

We are proud to announce a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with Queensbury Theatre under the leadership of Kristina Sullivan - Executive Director and Marco Camacho - Artistic Director! 🤝

This new agreement extends through August 31, 2027, securing our musicians a competitive wage and a strong pension contribution, among other benefits and premiums. HPMA is grateful to the Queensbury Orchestra Committee Jeanette Stenson, Emily Zelaya and Corey Dozier for their efforts. 🎶

Be sure to check out Queensbury’s summer production of Mean Girls running this August 6th-16th! 👠
