Asalamu Alaykum TDC Family!

2020 has been a trying time for many of us and our families. With our masajid operating at limited capacity to our regular programs around our city paused it's more important now than ever to find things that bring us closer to Allah. With that, we want to announce that the Retreat is back this year with our 4 day winter intensive!

This year we have condensed the program due to Covid, so classes will be conducted in-person & online with a limited capacity to maximize time & attention for students.

Our theme, “A Lighthouse in the Midst of Chaos” is filled with a diverse range of topics from fiqh, sirah and Islamic history to issues of mental health, marriage and parenting. Our exciting lineup of speakers are armed with powerful reminders to soldier us through these tumultuous times.

His session is titled "The Secret to Paradise: Perfecting Our Manners." 😇😇😇

The Prophet's (s) was a shining example of a man who had perfected his manners. His example is upheld around the world and we look to him as a role model. Many non-muslims during the Prophet's (s) time accepted Islam because of his beautiful example. Can we be of those that can perfect their manners? Are manners a way one can attain Paradise? This session will look at examples of beautiful manners from the Prophet's (s) life and delve into the different ways we can implement a set of excellent manners in our lives. 💎💎💎

No one has ever followed the path towards seeking Allah without experiencing some sense of failure. Many times we try to take steps toward Allah enthusiastically. After some time, we find ourselves back to where we started, or we make a mistake and feel all our efforts were in vain. In this session, Sh. Kamal will explore the path to Allah and discuss how to deal with issues and obstacles that may arise when seeking Him throughout our life. 🗡🗡🗡

Just as a fish needs water, our hearts require the remembrance of Allah. As we become busy in the worries of this life, our spiritual heart tends to get ignored and neglected. We find ways to busy ourselves from the pain that comes from a heart that longs for the rememberance of Allah. How do we deal with a heart that has long since forgotten its Creator? How can we soften our hearts once they have hardened? 🖤💜❤️
