Closing out our Spring 2026 Trio Grant studio visits with Preetika Rajgariah 🌟

Preetika welcomed us into her studio where we got to see the work up close and hear more about how she creates it. From yoga mats to sari fabric, she works with materials that already have a story, and it was so interesting to hear how they become part of the work.

We loved hearing more about the meaning behind the materials she chooses, especially the sari fabrics and their connection to family, culture and memory. There is so much color and energy in what she creates, and even more to discover when you hear the stories behind it.

It was such a pleasure spending time together and learning more about her process. We are honored to support Preetika and so grateful she welcomed us into her studio!

Next in our Spring 2026 Trio Grant studio visits is Maddie Casagranda

Maddie welcomed us into her studio where we got to see more of her work and hear more of her story. Working across photography, performance and fiber, Maddie’s art explores motherhood and care, especially the everyday parts of it that can so easily go unseen. There is something so special about the way she takes those familiar experiences and gives them a different kind of attention.

We also loved that her studio is in her garage :) Wendy worked out of her garage for a time too, so being there with another artist creating meaningful work in that kind of space felt like a sweet connection back to her.

It was such a pleasure spending time together, seeing the work up close and learning more about her process. We are honored to support her and so grateful she welcomed us into her studio!

So excited to begin sharing a look inside the studios of our Spring 2026 Trio Grant recipients, starting with Luisa Duarte , Luisa Duarte.

Luisa welcomed us into her studio and shared a little about her work and process. With a background in architecture, there is a beautiful sense of structure in what she creates, but also a softness and freedom that makes the work feel very personal. There is movement in the work, and a sensitivity that becomes even more apparent when you have the chance to experience it in person.

One of the things we loved hearing about was the unexpected connections Luisa has experienced while creating. She talked about moments that seem to fall into place on their own, almost as if the work is leading her somewhere she did not expect.

It was such a pleasure spending time with Luisa and learning more about the way she works.
We are honored to support Luisa and so grateful she welcomed us into her studio!
