Happy Birthday

🇺🇸✈️ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, UNITED STATES AIR FORCE! ✈️🇺🇸

On September 18, 1947, the United States Air Force became an independent branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Today, we honor the generations of Airmen, veterans, families, and civilian teammates who have carried that legacy forward with courage, sacrifice, discipline, and dedication.

From the skies above to the far reaches of space, Airmen have answered the call to defend our nation and protect the freedoms we hold dear.

We remember those who gave everything in service to our country, we salute those who served before us, and we recognize the Airmen who continue to serve today.

75+ years of service. A legacy of excellence. A commitment to the future.

🎖️ Aim High. Fly-Fight-Win.
🇺🇸 Happy Birthday, U.S. Air Force!

Integrity • Service • Excellence

SCHOOL BUS RULES
Drivers, please account for more time in your travel plans during the morning and afternoon times. Students are going to be excited to return to school and less likely to pay attention to traffic.
Give special attention to the children who may be walking to school or waiting on the school bus to pick them up. Put down the cell phone and pay attention to the road, no text is worth a life.
Remember, it is against the law to use cell phones in designated school zones, unless using a hands-free device.
And always stop for school buses when lights are flashing, and children are loading or unloading. Here is a diagram we hope will help to clear up the question of when a driver is required to stop for school buses.
You MUST stop for a school bus with the red flashing lights on while the bus is loading or unloading children. (If a roadway has a physical divider, such as an esplanade, traffic moving in the opposite direction of the bus may proceed with caution. A turning lane painted on the road is NOT a physical divider.) Traffic behind the school bus traveling in the same direction MUST always stop. School buses will use yellow flashing lights to alert motorists that they are preparing to stop to load or unload children.
The area 10 feet around a school bus is where children are at the greatest danger of being hit. Stop your vehicle far enough from the bus to allow children the necessary space to safely enter or exit the bus. Be alert. Children are unpredictable. Children walking to or from their bus are usually very comfortable with their surroundings. This makes them more likely to take risks, ignore hazards or fail to look both ways when crossing the street. Never pass a stopped school bus on the right that is loading or unloading. It is illegal and could have tragic consequences.
Welcome back to all our students and teachers.
Be safe.
