We are preparing to announce our next 2020 Lois Alba Aria Competition!

Soma International Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 by Lois Alba and Arthur Wachter for the purpose of helping aspiring opera singers secure more opportunities, exposure, training and guidance in the exciting and highly competitive art world of opera.

Sunday, June 25th, 2017, it's right around the corner! University of St Thomas, Cullen Hall, 4001 Mt Vernon, Houston 77006 at 3:00 pm, 10 Finalists will compete for prize money and the Audience Favorite! Be prepared for some amazing singing!

The countdown is on, opera lovers!

Only 18 days before we host the semi-final round of The 12th Lois Alba Aria Competition.

Singers and music students are welcome and encouraged to come attend the semi-finals on Saturday, June 24th on the campus of University of St. Thomas at Cullen Hall (4001 Mt Vernon, Houston 77006) at no charge. Our schedule is between 10 am and 6 pm.

Then, our judges will select 10 finalists who will advance to the Awards Program and Final Round, the next day, Sunday, June 25 which will start at 3 pm and still at Cullen Hall. Everyone will be invited to VOTE for their favorite singer.

Tickets are only $ 20 per person.

HSPVA and St. Thomas students are encouraged to attend for FREE!
