Two weeks ago, we gathered in style to celebrate Black artistry, legacy, and community at the 2026 BAN Scholarship Benefit Soirée ✨

We honored the legendary Lisa E. Harris ‘98 and Brooke Barnes-Meeks ’97, raised $21,000 toward our $50,000 goal, and filled the Anderson Center for the Arts with purpose and passion. We are still in our feelings about it in the best way!

Last month we gathered for our Senior Pinning & Scholarship Award Ceremony to honor and celebrate the incredible Black students of Kinder HSPVA — and officially welcome our newest graduates into the HSPVA Black Alumni Network family. We are so proud of each and every one of them.

This year, because of the generosity of our donors and community, BAN awarded $21,000 — supporting 9 students through our Bryan-Michael Cox Legacy Awards, Outstanding Senior Awards, and Underclassmen Awards, and funding 4 alumni microgrants for their own creative projects. Every dollar given to BAN goes directly to moments like these.
