Bo's Place Chevron Houston Marathon 2017 Christopher Stephens's Personal Fundraising Page Raising Money For Bo's Place Bo's Story
Bos Place is named in memory of Laurence Bosworth Neuhaus, Jr.

Bo died of liver cancer in 1985 when he was twelve years old. Bos faith, humor and openness were strength to his family. If I should die any time soon, he wrote, I want balloons, a lot of helium balloons, and fireworks because I want it to be a celebration. God would want it that way and therefore, so do I. Bo left behind a lasting legacy of warmth and love that is reflected in the programs a

t Bos Place. In this spirit, the tears at Bos Place are tears that heal, bringing with them hope and recovery so children can grieve and move forward.

The 2017 Chevron is particularly special run for us and this fundraising effort. November marks the year of our marriage and the sport of running is what started our journey in companionship. We will be running in memory of My Dad, W Michael Stephens. He died far sooner than we could have ever imagined, and has been missed every day since his death. A big THANKS to all the supporters and runners over the years. Bo's Place helps kids that have lost a loved one, like me and many others!

The 2016 Houston Chevron Marathon is almost here and is particularly special run for us and this fundraising effort. November marks the first year of our marriage and the sport of running is what started our journey in companionship. Most already know that I have endured major foot surgery this year, and hopefully will not keep us from participating in the 13.1 mile run! We will be running in memory of My Dad, W Michael Stephens. He died far sooner than we could have ever imagined, and has been missed every day since his death.

Book of the Week: The Rhino Who Swallowed a Storm by LeVar Burton and Susan Schaefer Bernardo. We are very excited for its release tomorrow. Reading Rainbow's Burton teamed up with Schaefer and illustrator Courtenay Fletcher (the team that brought us Sun Kisses, Moon Hugs) for a book that offers up a way for children to learn how to live in a world where bad things seem to happen to good people. A supplemental Q&A section gives a way for adults to facilitate conversations with kids about difficult times.
