Bohol Association of Texas (BATI), Inc The Bohol Association of Texas, Incorporated (BATI) BATI is the first Boholano association in Texas. The organization is still growing to this day.

The Bohol Association of Texas Incorporated (BATI) was founded in 1982 by Major Filomeno “Mening” Garcia Gonzalez, Sr. BATI encourages unity, family values and traditions of the Philippines amongst fellow Boholanos that have migrated to Texas while promoting camaraderie and life-long friendships. BATI encourages the legacy of Filipino traditions to be passed onto the youth, including first and sec

ond generation Filipino-Americans. Many family events are celebrated through many holidays such as Easter, Christmas, New Years, birthdays, baptisms, and etc. BATI donates back to Bohol by sponsoring scholarships and aiding in programs such as artificial insemination for cows to promote an increase in livestock. BATI has earned a prominent and respectable name in the Filipino-American community in Texas and in the Boholano community worldwide. The members of BATI will be forever thankful and grateful to the founder, Manong Mening.
