Dear Viewers and Supporters,

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news regarding Boran, the baby monkey we recently rescued from Bayon Temple. At just nine months old, Boran faced an uphill battle after being tragically run over by a car. Despite the dedicated efforts of our veterinary team, who worked tirelessly to provide him with the care he desperately needed, the severity of his injuries ultimately proved insurmountable. Sadly, Boran passed away on December 3, 2025.

During his brief time with us, Boran exhibited a remarkable spirit of resilience; he was awake, alert, and even eating and drinking on his own during his treatment. Our team had hoped for his recovery, but the trauma he endured was too severe for his young body to handle. We are heartbroken over this loss, as we envisioned a brighter future for this innocent creature.

We sincerely apologize for not being able to share updates about Boran sooner. Our team has been overwhelmed with the care of many other injured animals, Boran was buried with respect and dignity near Momma Jane. We cherish every life and hope that Boran will rest in peace.

Thank you for your compassion and support during this difficult time as we remember Boran and continue our commitment to rescuing and rehabilitating injured animals.

Warm regards,

Dear Viewers and Supporters,

We recently undertook a heartbreaking rescue of a baby monkey from the Bayon Temple. Reports from the public indicated that this innocent creature had been tragically run over by a car, putting his life in severe jeopardy. Our dedicated veterinary team promptly assessed his condition, performing several X-rays that revealed the extent of his injuries: both of his arms and one leg are broken, and there is also significant trauma to his skull. Boran is awake, alert, and eating and drinking on his own. He has been given medication for pain and to prevent infection. He is a smart boy and is cooperating with his treatment.

At this moment, our veterinary team is diligently working to provide the care he so desperately needs. However, the severity of his injuries presents a daunting challenge. The complexity of his condition is far worse than many cases we have successfully treated in the past, and the materials required for his recovery will exceed our financial expectations.

Despite these challenges, we have made a resolute decision to do everything in our power to help this baby monkey recover. We are exploring various options to ensure he receives the medical attention he requires, but we cannot do it alone.

If you feel compelled to join us in our mission to save this precious life, we warmly invite you to click the link below to make a donation today. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in his journey to recovery.

The incidence of baby monkey injuries is increasing, similar to a few years ago. These injuries are often caused by unprofessional feeding or intentional harm to gain attention and raise donations. After inflicting minor injuries, they act like they love and care for the monkey by screaming loudly to draw public concern and solicit donations.

These injuries are rarely reported to authorities. If a baby's injury heals within a week or two, claims are made about having a "magic mango" that aids healing, suggesting that only they provide genuine care and support. If the injury doesn't heal, they blame organizations for not helping.

In the case of Luno, proper reporting and assistance should have been sought from the start. However, this did not happen. Because Luno was not reported for rescue and help promptly, when their "magic mango" failed, they shifted tactics. They began to rally their loyal followers to complain and accuse various authorities and organizations of negligence.

Regarding Luno, our team encountered him more than a week after his injury. While We were checking on other monkeys when we were informed that Luno was injured. Upon examining him, we found a broken bone at the end of his elbow, with only a 50% chance of successful reconnection with early intervention. However, after a week, some of the bone had already begun to heal incorrectly, reducing the likelihood of successful treatment and potentially leaving him disabled. We also observed that Luno is now able to walk, run, and climb trees, indicating he is adapting to his injury. Therefore, we decided not to intervene further.

Thank you.

Dear Supporters and Viewers,

Recently, our organization received multiple reports via email and messenger concerning the disappearance of a baby monkey. These reports include various hints and pieces of evidence, and other items that may be relevant to our investigation.

We also received some unidentified reports that a poacher was seen poaching the baby monkey by using a metal box for their activities.

In response to this situation, our legal team will be convening for an internal meeting to thoroughly discuss the sources of information and the potential usefulness of the evidence provided. If deemed valuable for the investigation, we will seek the cooperation of the wildlife authority to initiate a formal inquiry. Our goal is to hold those responsible for the poaching of this innocent creature accountable and ensure they face appropriate consequences.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to address this serious matter.
Sincerely,

Update on Jade

While Jade has been staying at our center, she has continued to bring us joy and has created more opportunities for us to care for her. It has sometimes been challenging because Jade can sometimes be a little stubborn but we have developed a good working relationship. She has been very active, often licking both of her hands, which unfortunately resulted in some small injuries. We have provided care and treatment to help her heal from these injuries.

During our careful observation, and on X-rays, we noticed that at the end of her broken bone, there was a very sharp edge that could cause her discomfort or potentially cut her tissue or skin in the future. To ensure her comfort and safety, we recently performed a minor surgery to trim and smooth out this sharp edge of the bone. That will help to avoid injuries in the future.

Jade is now healing well from her operation. She is walking and is able to use both her hand and arm. Javor is growing and doing well. She is a busy, active girl and has made many friends with other monkeys at the center. Jade uses both hands to hug and to groom Javor. We will continue to monitor her progress and, once she has fully recovered, we plan to return her and Javor back to their natural habitat or suitable environment.

At WCPO, we are dedicated to rescuing and caring for primates in need — from injured, abused, and abandoned monkeys to those facing threats in the wild. Every life we save is a testament to our commitment, but we cannot do it alone.

Your generous donation directly supports our efforts to provide medical care, rehabilitation, and safe habitats for these incredible creatures. With your help, we can continue our vital work to give primates a second chance at life, restore their health, and protect them from threats in the wild.

Join us in making a difference. Your support saves lives, restores hope, and helps preserve the beauty of our natural world. No contribution is too small — every dollar makes a real impact.
Please consider donating today and be a part of our mission to save and protect primates.

Update on Jade’s Condition

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jade’s recovery process has been more complex than initially anticipated. After her paperwork was approved, our rescue team faced delays because Jade was required to participate in a livestreaming show for a man who uses the broadcasts to gain stars for his own benefit. The nonstop livestreaming from early morning until late evening prevented us from taking immediate action.

As a result, her fracture worsened, with new tissue growth filling the space of the broken bone. This tissue growth and location of the fracture made internal fixation (surgical repair with tubes and rods) impossible. After thorough examination and extensive discussions with our veterinary team, we decided against surgical intervention because attempting to fix the fracture carries a very high risk of failure (estimated at 90%) and could ultimately lead to amputation, which we want to avoid at all costs.

Fortunately, Jade has adapted remarkably well. Jade’s arm is healing. It will never be perfectly straight, but she does still have both arms and can use the arm that was injured for her daily activities. She is able to groom her baby Javor, peel fruit to eat, and perform many of her usual activities, albeit with some slight differences from before.

Without surgical intervention is the most compassionate option, Currently, Jade is in good health at our center, where she is under careful care and observation. Her baby Javor is with her and both are doing well. We remain attentive to her needs and will continue to support her in every way possible, prioritizing her well-being and quality of life.

Thank you for all of the care and concern expressed for Jade. As always, the health and care of the monkeys is our first priority. We appreciate everyone who has donated to support our work. Your support enables us to help Jade and other monkeys.

Warm regards,
