We’d like to highlight our amazing board members!💙💜💛

Next, is our Vice President Candace Okin! Here’s a message from her about the importance of TREP:

“It is imperative that children, ESPECIALLY Black children, have unfettered access to authentic Black history and culture and a healthy accounting of Black and African people’s distinct and expansive impact on our world, past and present. This knowledge, for them, holds the key to their future, and this is our mission.”

We’d like to highlight our amazing board members!💙💜💛

First, is our Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Lindsay Gary! Here’s a message from her about why she created the organization and why it’s so important to our community:

“I started The Re-Education Project to positively impact the educational realities of African American children. I decided that over four hundred years of educational racism in the United States was enough; I was no longer willing to wait for someone to “save” our children. Our children deserve targeted and culturally-relevant education that will enable them to become the leaders our communities need.”✊🏾

Next Tuesday is Giving Tuesday! Consider donating to invest in our children and communities. 🔗Click the link in our bio to donate!

The Re-Education Project is excited to launch Project 1444!

Developed by Dr. Lindsay Gary, Project 1444 is a digital collection of essays and resources that meticulously explore the history of Africa and the African Diaspora, predating the era of European colonization and enslavement.

This groundbreaking initiative seeks to delve into the rich tapestry of Africa's pre-colonial past, in addition to the first points of colonization and enslavement of African people in various parts of the Americas, Europe, and on the African continent, shedding light on narratives that have long remained in the shadows.
