Texas Sled Dog Rescue Texas Sled Dog Rescue focuses on giving Alaskan Malamutes & Siberian Huskies a second chance.

While in rescue, we will place them in foster homes, provide basic training as needed, and vetting which includes updated vaccinations, spay or neuter and micro-chip. Our volunteers are involved in all facets of rescue including but not limited to fundraising, transporting, evaluating dogs, representing the rescue at local dog events, fostering, etc.

TSDRs Salt enjoys hanging outside when the weather is nice. The skin issue around his eyes seems to have cleared up nicely and he’s getting more comfortable with the foster dad even tho he’s been in and out with his travels.

🐾 Go through your furever family member's toys. Throw away any items that are no longer safe.

🐾 Maintain your pet-friendly home. Keep cords and toxins secure from your four-legged friends. This includes phone chargers.

🐾 Verify when vaccinations are due and schedule an appointment to update if they are due.

🐾 Check collars to ensure tags are secure and numbers are current. We sometimes forget to update this information when we move or change numbers.

Happy Friday from TSDRs Louise! She continues to do well at boarding but we would love to get her into a foster home or better yet, a fur-ever home!! She is dog friendly and crate trained. She needs structure and she can still be shy of new humans til she gets settled in so patience will be needed but will be worth it.

TSDRs Salt loves his ducky and will entertain himself!! We are still surprised there’s not been much interest in this pawsome boy!! He’s young, dog friendly, will play with other dogs or by himself. He’s house and crate trained.
