THE PHOTO CAMPAIGN:

The EMBRACE America Campaign is a silent protest photo project created in memory to people like Trayvon Martin and others. Many believe Trayvon was a victim of a hate crime and that his death is related to his race and what he was wearing at the time. When Trayvon died, he was wearing a "hoodie" and carried a bag of Skittles in his hand. People have already started to protest

individually all over America by wearing their hoodies. Divinci wants to arrange a worldwide and unified campaign where every photo will be powerful, emotional, and organized. This is a photographic protest against racism, related forms of hate crimes, and cultural discrimination. The campaign features various photographs of people in front of a grey backdrop wearing "hoodies" over their heads. Their faces are in black and white to protest discrimination of skin color, and a bag of candy is covering each individual's mouth with the word (EMBRACE) stamped on it. The "hoodie" represents cultural discrimination. The bag of candy on the mouth is a symbolic message of our mission to embrace the diversity of the human race through a silent protest. Together we make a human rainbow. The campaign was created on March 28, 2013 by artist/photographer Divinci Roshon of ManifestEnt.com and artist Elisabet Barranco. The photos are featured on the campaign's website, Facebook, Flickr, and Twitter. EMBRACE wants to be the central hub for this protest. By the end of 2012, we plan to have more than 10,000 faces in the campaign. We will hold open shoots that will be held in over 20 different US cities. Some photographers and student groups will set up their own photoshoots. The campaign photos will circulate on the internet and appear on many social networking profiles from our supporters. We encourage everyone, young and old, from every cultural and social background and race to participate. It is time to be color blind and EMBRACE THE RAINBOW. DISCLAMER: The Skittles Candy company is NOT associated or part of this campaign. This does not reflect the beliefs and views of Skittles and Wriggley companies. We are currently presenting Skittles the campaign and hope that they support this positive cause. THE PLAN:
For the next two weeks, Divinci will promote and market the campaign through various social networks and offline media outlets. If you would like to know more about participating in the campaign, volunteering, partnering, being a part of history, or have a story you would love to share, please contact Embrace the Rainbow Photo Campaign via the following email address: [email protected].
