Celine's Cats & Canines Rescue

💙💙💙🐾 **WELCOME TO CELINE’S CATS & CANINES!** To all of our donors, supporters, adopters, fosters, and friends — THANK YOU for believing in our mission! ❤️ We are a small sanctuary caring for 50+ dogs, and without a large team of consistent volunteers, much of the daily work falls on myself and my husband, Cody. From feeding and cleaning to playtime, repairs, transportation, veterinary appointments, medications, and everything in between, our days are dedicated to giving these animals the safe, loving care they deserve.💙💙💙

After more than 10 years of rescue, we’ve come so far. Three years ago, we purchased our own property and have worked hard to create a safer, better sanctuary, including secure fencing, upgraded play yards, enrichment equipment, and permanent metal roofing. **But there is still so much to do!** This year, you can help by **donating, sponsoring a dog, adopting, fostering, volunteering, transporting, or simply sharing our posts.** Every dollar, hour, share, and helping hand makes a difference and allows us to continue caring for the dogs who have nowhere else to go. 🐶❤️ **Thank you for being part of their journey — choose a link below to help!**

Did you know ? 🩷💔
Texas is facing one of the most critical animal welfare crises in the nation? Every single year, an estimated 568,000 dogs and cats enter Texas shelters—often packed well beyond their intended capacity. Shockingly, roughly 82,000 of these animals are euthanized annually, placing the Lone Star State among the highest in the country for shelter euthanasia. Beyond the shelter doors, the daily reality is just as devastating: countless stray and abandoned dogs roam rural roads, highways, and neighborhoods, struggling to survive on their own.
But these heartbreaking numbers don't have to be our permanent reality. While communities have worked hard to save 77% of shelter pets, we still have a long way to go—Texas needs an additional 46,600 dogs and 32,000 cats to find homes to reach "no-kill" status statewide. This isn't just a shelter problem; it's a community crisis that we have the power to solve. Please consider adopting instead of buying, fostering, or supporting local spay/neuter programs to help get these vulnerable animals off the streets and into loving homes. share this to raise awareness—together, we can change these statistics and save lives. 🐾❤️ (all dogs below are available for adoption via Big Paws K9 Foster House in Houston TX )

🆘🆘🆘💔💔💔💔 Alright friends of NASRN and Rescue, Last night we received some very scary news. Our sweet Tucker, who was our Tripawd mama Merida’s puppy who was born in rescue a couple years ago started profusely vomiting and no source was identified. Our very own Tricia Childers DC (Tuckers mama and rescue foster ) immediately took him to the ER vet where he is till staying. They have diagnosed him with an intestinal blockage but cannot see what the blockage is. They have him sedated, and started a barium study to continue to watch and see if the blockage moves. It the blockage hasn’t moved, they will need to do emergency surgery.
We know times are tough, we know so many animals need help, but our very own foster mom, who saves so many needs us now. 💔💔🙏🏼🙏🏼 Please help someone who continues to give to the Texas community by saving countless pets. Tricia, Kenny and Tucker need us ! Even $5 can add up ❤️ Thank you for your support of a fellow rescue mom 🙏🏼❤️ Go Fund Me below 👇 🐾

Liberty is healing very slowly, but still needs support. This little girl was found at the end of January, curled up like a piece of trash after being hit by a car and left for dead. She suffered severe trauma and breaks to her femur and hip. Her foster mom has been lovingly keeping her on rest after her surgeries. This is no way for a puppy to start her young light. Please donate $5 or $10 to her go fund me to help out with her continued care https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-libertys-journey-to-recovery-and-love?attribution_id=sl:4be11312-57c9-441c-9028-f1b4173d5e7a&lang=en_US&ts=1769746361&utm_campaign=pd_ss_icons&utm_content=amp17_tb&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwRlRTSAQy1ZJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA8xNzM4NDc2NDI2NzAzNzAAAR52rJrB9Qr5bgFM8LcSaUTjcia5hz3YYFGUnzu1N9Myov35aX2RHSIQtEQLlw_aem_NplB1_-WkgTZscd8BOyXBg
