🧡 Advocacy in Action with The Arc of Texas 🧡
We were honored to welcome representatives from The Arc of Texas for an important conversation about advocacy, public policy, and the future of services and supports for Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the work being done across Texas to advance the rights and opportunities of people with IDD, hear updates on current legislative issues impacting individuals and families, and discuss how advocacy efforts can create meaningful change in our communities.
Equally important, this gathering provided a platform for self-advocates, family members, and supporters to share their experiences, challenges, and priorities directly with state advocacy leaders. These voices are essential in shaping policy initiatives and advocacy efforts that impact Texans with IDD across the state.
A special thank you to Sabrina Gonzalez Saucedo, Director of Public Policy & Advocacy, and Michael Clark, Deputy Director of Public Policy & Advocacy, from The Arc of Texas for sharing their expertise and engaging in meaningful dialogue with our community.
Together, we are building a stronger voice for inclusion, equity, and opportunity for all. 🧡
