A packed room of business owners and professionals gathered tonight for AI Beyond the Basics: Practical Workflows for Business Growth, a dynamic session led by Jha Allen of Endless 8. The atmosphere was energetic and collaborative as attendees filled the meeting space to capacity, eager to learn how to integrate AI workflows into real‑world business operations and in the professional world.

Jha delivered a clear, practical and concise walkthrough of how AI can elevate productivity, streamline communication, and support smarter decision‑making. The crowd engaged actively—asking real-life questions and discussing how these tools could immediately impact their organizations.

The event, hosted by the Philippine‑American Chamber of Commerce Texas (Greater Houston Region) as part of their Speaker Series, highlighted the growing interest in AI among local entrepreneurs and professionals. By the end of the evening, attendees walked away with actionable strategies, new connections, and a clearer vision of how AI can fuel business growth and development.

May 23, 2026 — The Philippine American Chamber of Commerce – Greater Houston Region proudly attended and participated in Gawad Kalinga Houston’s 17th HOPE (Heroes of Poverty Eradication) Ball, a beautiful Flores de Mayo fundraising celebration.

During the evening’s Flores de Mayo presentation, PACCTX-GHR was honored to be recognized for its achievements, programs, and initiatives dedicated to supporting and empowering small businesses throughout the Greater Houston region.

Representing the organization were Region Chair Gemma Gullaksen, Vice Chair Jessica Tecson, Secretary Cora Flores, Auditor Margarita Truong, along with many PACCTX-GHR members who came together in support of GK Houston’s mission.

It was truly a wonderful evening filled with fellowship, celebration, community spirit, and a shared commitment to uplifting others.

On May 19, PACCTX Greater Houston Region led by State President Aileen Ligot Dizon, Executive Director Gary Ilagan and Region Chair Gemma Gullaksen went to Houston City Hall for a productive discussion with the Mayor’s Office of Houston. The meeting included Gigi Lee, Chief of International Affairs, along with Zeljka Momirovic, Senior Trade Officer, and Isabella Benavides, International Affairs Liaison.

PACCTX GHR directors Rolf Gullaksen, Jaylord DiPalma, Margarita Truong and Tess Tuazon were also in attendance.

The conversation was constructive and encouraging, highlighting opportunities for future collaboration and engagement. Participants expressed confidence that continued follow-through and partnership will help translate the discussion into meaningful opportunities for members and partners.

PACCTX GHR, represented by directors Marilyn Rogers and Bobby Reyes, attended the “Unlocking Opportunities with the City of Houston” event as part of the IACCGH Small Business Series on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Elite Restaurant. The event featured Alejandro Guajardo, MBA, USMC, Business Development Manager for the City of Houston’s Office of Business Opportunity, who shared valuable insights on business growth, procurement opportunities, and resources available for small businesses seeking to work with the City of Houston.

The event provided an excellent platform for networking, collaboration, and learning, bringing together entrepreneurs, community leaders, and business professionals committed to supporting minority-owned and small businesses in the Greater Houston area. PACCTX GHR appreciated the opportunity to engage with industry partners and gain a deeper understanding of the programs and initiatives designed to help businesses expand and succeed in the public sector marketplace.

The program was co-sponsored by Wallis Bank and the CenterPoint Energy Foundation, whose support helped foster meaningful discussions and connections within Houston’s business community.
