This Thursday 26 February will be the monthly Houston Blues Society jam. The guest house band will be the fantastic Leanord Low Down Brown. You don’t want to miss his great singing and terrific Fender jazz guitar playing. Fun starts at 8:00 PM at the Big Easy (5731 KIRBY DR, HOUSTON, TX 77005) . Musicians and blues lovers come on out to help keep blues alive in Houston. Derrick Kozub will be your jam master.

Next Wednesday, Blues Lovers! Please join us for this special screening and expert panel discussion of When Houston Had the Blues! Music by Cole. Hope to see lots of you there!

The Houston Blues Society is excited to announce that we have partnered with Arthouse Houston to present “When Houston Had the Blues” at The DeLUXE Theater on February 18th. We hope you will join us.

The night starts with music by local Blues and Zydeco musician B. Cole, followed by the film and ending with a Q&A panel with Houston Blues experts Roger Wood, Rod Evans, Nuri Nuri, and musician Larry Fulcher. There will be drinks, popcorn, and concessions available in the lobby and beer courtesy of Saint Arnold Brewery.
