We're looking for talented artisans, small businesses, makers, and farmers market vendors to be part of one of the community's most anticipated annual celebrations. You may have noticed some busy work over at the fest grounds this Spring! We needed to make the brat stand a little bigger. We also built this hallway with two serving doors. The beer chips will be sold a door over so there's more room for better flow to the bar to help cut down on congestion. All this work was done by Jr Johnston and our friends at Affordable Roofing & Siding. They did an awesome job! You can rent the fest grounds for graduation parties, weddings, receptions, birthdays, or any special event! Go to the contact page at houstonhoedown.com to reserve your spot.

Summer just started but we've got winter on our mind! This year our theme for the Kiddie Parade is "Christmas In July"! So, break out the lights and wrapping paper and get the kids in the holiday spirit to kick off Hoedown 2026 this year! Instead of decorating a tree decorate a float, a bike, or a wagon! We'll bring the snow in the form of cones! 😉

We've been looking at some new events to bring to Hoedown Days and this year we're going to have Phoenix Pro Wrestling Holmen WI come to the fest grounds on Sunday afternoon for the Showdown at The Hoedown! Whatcha gonna do when Hoedown Mania runs wild on you?! Come check it out!

We are sad to see the passing of Rick. He brought joy and countless memories to hundreds of kids with his pedal pull at Hoedown Days. Thank you Rick and your family for making our celebration better for so many years.

We are sad to learn that our friend, Gene has passed away. He was a big part of our community and enjoyed entertaining kids for years as a clown in the Hoedown parade. Thank you for service to Houston in so many ways, Gene. You will be missed.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our fellow Lion, Eugene Lundak.

Lion Gene joined the Houston Lions Club on September 1, 2001, and faithfully served our community for over 24 years. His dedication, kindness, and steady presence reflected the very heart of what it means to be a Lion.

He gave selflessly of his time and energy, always ready to lend a helping hand and live out our motto: “We Serve.”

Gene’s friendship, humor, and commitment to service will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our deepest condolences to Gene’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Lion Gene. Your years of service and devotion to others will never be forgotten. 🦁💛
