Two weeks ago, TXCPA Houston brought the accounting and finance community together for 2026 S.T.A.R.S. ⭐

From full rooms and timely sessions to exhibitor conversations, networking breaks, and shared moments with peers, this year’s Spring Technology and Accounting Resources Summit gave attendees two days of learning, connection, and practical insight. 📚🤝

Last week was a busy one at TXCPA Houston (and our offices), and each gathering had a different purpose. ⭐

On Wednesday, our CFO Controllers Peer Group met for an in person session on third party threats, fraud risk, and protecting organizations beyond their walls, led by Emily McKee, CFE, and Sasha Gartman, CFE, CAMS of Weaver. 🔐

On Thursday morning, the 2026 to 2027 TXCPA Houston Board of Directors came together for annual Leadership Day, with thoughtful discussion, planning, and ideas for the year ahead.

Later that afternoon, committee leaders continued the conversation with a focus on preparation, strategy, engagement, and how leadership can move the needle for TXCPA Houston. 🤝

Different conversations.
Same goal: strengthening the Houston accounting community and building momentum for a strong 2026 to 2027.
