I am preparing for a turnover of leadership to our HBLC members this May. We are quite a bit very late in electing the new set of officers already. I am now in a hold over capacity. Ready to just be an ordinary member and active supporter of the new officers.With guidance from the supreme power, we will roar and continue serving again.

Come and join our HBLC as we are sponsoring a Coushatta fund raising trip on September 21, 2014 to benefit a person in need of medical assistance due to a debilitating sickness. We are inviting and asking our friends, other civic organization members, acquaintances and other folks who might want to join the trip to enjoy and help at the same time our humanitarian cause.There will raffle prizes given also. Everyone is invited to attend HBLCs Potluck picnic on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 11am- 4pm while our Little Miss Lions 2014 are having their three hours sponsored Limousine ride as part of their prizes for being a participant in helping out raised funds to benefit the Texas Lions Camp who provides summer camping at no charge to children with medical condition.

Little Miss Lions 2014 will have a trip to Texas Lions Camp on August 8, 2014 in Kerrville, TX to attend the summer camp graduation of children with Type 1 Diabetes ages 8-15. If you would like to join the trip, the itinerary is as follows:

August 8, 2014 - Friday
8:30 Assembly (Caliber Collision in Katy)
9:00 Departure
12:00 Lunch (At your own expense)
3:00 Arrival (Approximate)
4:00 Campus Tour
7:00 TX Lion/s Camp Graduation

August 9, 2014 - Saturday
9:00 am Departure from Kerrville to Houston

Please note that the Club will rent a 14 passenger van transportation for the round trip to Kerrville and back. Only the LML Princesses and a parent (1) will be free. All members and non-members who are joining and riding the van are required to pay $25/pp

We have inquired an accommodation in Best Western in Kerrville and the cost is $120/night. Please let me know who is interested to join on or before Thursday so I can reserve your seats. We have 5 more available seats in the van.

The Houston Beltway Lions Club would like to thank each and everyone who supported, participated and attended our very successful Little Miss Lions International 2014 gala last night. We could not thank you enough for your contribution that made our project a success. Our Princesses had a wonderful time last night in which we know will always be part of their good memories as they grow up. HBLC opened the door for them to give an opportunity to help other kids who are needing their help while enjoying at the same time. They are already excited to go to Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville to attend the graduation ceremony this summer and to award the money that they raised for them. One sponsor committed last night that they will give our reigning Princesses a 3 hours Limo ride this April as part of their rewards for being a good Samaritan to others. Again, thank you and May God bless you more!

The Houston Beltway Lions Club (HBLC) is now geared towards holding its major fundraising event called Little Miss Lions International 2014 wherein children will help their fellow children who are less fortunate. The purpose of this major event is to generate funds for the Texas Lions Camp where children with disabilities and diabetic children are provided with a fun-filled experience at the Texas Lions Camp in Kerville, Texas FREE of charge. The camp is committed to provide opportunities for the children to experience the great Texas outdoor and mold our youth in the ideals we cherish as Americans.

Also, this major fundraising event is intended to share its resources for the Lions Eye Bank of Texas, Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), Sight First, and World Services for the Blind.

On behalf of the officers and members of the Houston Beltway Lions Club, we would like to invite all of you to attend our gala on January 25, 2014. Please see our flyer below for complete information.
