We’ve just received these photos via DM showing the lackluster turnout at this year. They were originally posted on Twitter, but apparently the person who posted them was permanently banned shortly thereafter.

Per IA’s management, all IA merch at Anime Matsuri 2019 will be bootlegs.

IA’s management has posted an update to their page clarifying the Anime Matsuri cancellation.

Per management, IA was forced to cancel their performance because AM refused to meet their stage and technical requirements despite being notified of said requirements months in advance.

Anime Matsuri continues to advertise the IA performance as part of their 2019 event as of the time of this post.

We have been informed that is having difficulty filling their artist alley and vendor hall for 2019 and is attempting to fill the empty tables by reaching out to artists who have tabled at AM in the past but who may not be aware of the controversy surrounding the convention.

This seems like a good time to remind everyone that in addition to harboring sexual predators, Anime Matsuri is consistently the worst ranked convention in the US when it comes to treatment of vendors and artists.

To the members of the “Risembool Rangers” (Vic’s fan club run by his mom) who have begun appearing on this page to attack victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault: please be aware that victim blaming is not permitted anywhere on the Boycott Anime Matsuri page. Victim blaming includes calling survivors liars, discounting or disparaging their personal experiences or using abusive language against them.

If you victim blame in our comments you will be given a single warning, then permanently banned from the page if you persist. Go ahead, give us a reason.

Every anime convention in the country has now cancelled the 2019 appearance of Vic Mignogna after a number of fans came forward with reports of being sexually harassed by the VA at past conventions.

Every anime convention except .

Representatives of AM have made it clear they do not believe any of the victims and will not be cancelling Mignogna’s appearance in June despite receiving many complaints from attendees.
