Magnificat offers refuge and hope to the destitute by creating homes where people of different mental abilities, social backgrounds, religions and cultures, live together in community. Community is our greatest strength, and through community we strive to reveal the special value that each person has to offer the other. We are dedicated to the conviction that recovery is possible in a family-style setting that offers hope, respect, opportunity, work, a good home, education and friendship.

Wednesday at the Clubhouse is one of the fullest days of the week.

Personal Development with Dr. Gregg at 9:15 AM, Wellness Wednesday at 8:30 AM, AAMA with Brenda at 9:30 AM, Bread of Life food distribution at 10:30 AM, and Robin from Mercy Street wrapping the morning with Art Class at noon. St. John Eudes, whose memorial falls today, is known as a champion of the dignity of every person, especially the most vulnerable.

That is exactly what a Wednesday like this looks like in practice.

Today is the Solemnity of the Assumption, one of the most beautiful feasts in the Church calendar, celebrating Mary being taken body and soul into heaven.

At MHI, Mary's example of saying yes to a life of service has always been close to our heart. We hold our guests, our staff, and our neighbors in prayer today, and we are grateful for every person who makes this mission possible. Blessed feast day.
