The deteriorating nature of health practice in Cameroon by professionals entrusted by the needy population saddens even the common individual in the street. The world has look at our country with disgust as our mothers, and even those defenceless angles of God are treated as worthless article due to greed and the pursuit of riches.
Health professionals in the world at large are governed simply by the Good Samaritan Act drilled into any one who has been in any health institution in the world. Health professionals' practice is based largely by ethics which manifest in times of crisis and should be second nature to the practice. Our country seems to practice on the concept of money first humans last. How do we redirect our "helpers" to think as professionals? How do we come together to rescue our people who have been left no option but to practice medicine in their "best effort" to safe those in need? Indeed there is something very wrong but where do we start? How do we change the thought process that seems to be the norm in our society?

The attainment of a productive population rest partially on the ability of its indegents to maintain a positive health. Realization of such an imperial concept is based on the ability of such a population to foster the health of its locals not only through dependibility on existing govenance but on local contributions as well. However, when such simplistic notion of human survival and productivity is challenged by regional economic hardship, reaching out for a helping hand to those who imagine our pain restores hope to those in despair.........

The extend of healthcare inequality from global perspective is something that only the underprivileged can express through daily suffering. The definition of proper health or survival from sudden ailments further dehumanize its victims which often results in inhuman treatment. "Inhumanness" even though viewed globally as substandard, surprisingly reflects survivability to those who seek for such services. The desire to survive from an illness in most of Africa does not take environmental conditions into consideration. In most instances, these deplorable conditions lead to secondary infections with fatal results. Crowded hospitals/health centers with cross contamination are the norms. Hallway treatments are also very common especially for those who cannot afford fees for a hospital bed. Most patients just want to survive and are willing to accept treatment from the provider in the hallway. Its the reality of healthcare delivery in most third world countries especially in Africa.
