This month in New Orleans, Local 23 members knocked doors in our communities where we live & work to spread the word about the Omni project. 👀

ℹ️ The proposed Omni project would give as much as $669 million in tax breaks away to the developers over 45 years, padding corporate profits while NOLA residents deal with skyrocketing costs of rent, groceries & electricity. 😲

City Council should say ❌ NO to this until developers make clear how much the project will cost the people of New Orleans. We deserve to not be left in the dark.

We were honored to commemorate Rickie Toon as he retires after more than four decades as a House of Representatives food service worker and union organizer with Local 23.
