PRESENTER

David H. Falloure is an author and marketing professional based in Houston with a strong passion for history and a deep love for Texas. Throughout his marketing career, his work has earned recognition from respected organizations such as the ANA Business Marketing, the American Marketing Association, the AVA Digital Awards, and the Telly Awards. As an author, Falloure has contributed articles to local media and written for the Texas State Historical Association's Handbook of Houston. His debut novel, Counterclockwise, is a gripping suspense thriller set in 1942 Houston, and he is currently working on his second novel, Vindictus, which is slated for release in 2025. In addition to his professional achievements, Falloure holds the title of admiral in the Texas Navy, an organization committed to preserving the state's heritage and history.

PROGRAM

David will bring the story behind the story of Port Houston and the Houston Ship Channel. He brings a unique perspective to the narrative, adding flavor, context, colorful characters, and even a touch of mischief, while highlighting the global forces that transformed a quiet bayou into one of the world’s most influential and strategically vital industrial engines. From vision to victories, celebrations to setbacks, Falloure provides a raw, unfiltered account of the port’s history, driven by his deep passion for Texas and American history—a passion that's truly contagious.
