IEDA Relief is an international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) whose mission is to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable people by tackling the underlying causes of poverty so that people can become self-sufficient and achieve their full potential. IEDA Relief has been providing humanitarian assistance and serving communities since 2008. Internationally, IEDA Relief works to empower communiti

es affected by conflict and natural disasters to meet provide short-term and long-term support that saves lives, sustains human dignity, and restores healthy communities. Within the United States, IEDA Relief works with refugees, new immigrants and other indigent communities with an emphasis on establishing a path towards self-sufficiency. In addition to our Houston headquarters, IEDA Relief has regional offices in Arlington, VA and in Dakar, Senegal. Our operations offices are located in Central African Republic, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and the Philippines. In the past, we conducted operations in Haiti, Liberia and Ivory Coast.

On Saturday June 4th, 2023, IEDA Relief volunteered with The Empty Shelter Project who hosted a free spay/neuter & microchipping event for pets in the underserved neighborhood of Alief in the greater Harris County area. The IEDA team served meals to the volunteers and medical staff who administered those services to the pets. The IEDA Relief Team sends a big thank you to Ms. Azeb Yusuf for giving us the opportunity to take part in this amazing event!

IEDA Relief is striving to alleviate gender-related disparities in communities of need with the assurance in mind that when girls and women are empowered, the entire community reaps the rewards.

The after effect of the Volcano eruption is more than what people thought would be. Response team has been on the ground working with local authorities and churches to assist those affected by the Volcano.

More than 30 people have lost their lives, thousand displaced with no shelter, food, water or place to sleep.
