There are some great not-to-be-missed art exhibits at the Museum of Fine Arts and the Menil. If you've been to any, what did you think?

Consider it consolation for Houston’s absence of fall leaf color. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Menil Collection have some surprising and revelatory eye candy in store in September and October.

Tune in tomorrow night, Monday, November 28 (or set your DVR!), to Houston Public Media TV8/PBS for a rebroadcast of Post Oak Boulevard: A Texas Legacy at 8:30 p.m.

The program, which was recently honored with the 2016 Julia Ideson Award from Friends of The Texas Room, will be shown during TV8’s membership drive. It is an honor for our program to be used in this way.

Robert Sakowitz, who appears in the program, will appear live on camera during the pledge breaks, along with TV8’s Ernie Manouse, to discuss his deep knowledge of the Post Oak/Uptown/Galleria area, going back, of course, to Houston’s iconic Sakowitz store at Post Oak Boulevard and Westheimer… the beginning of it all!

Please be sure to call in to support our local PBS station and happy holidays to all!

Just wanted to share this very nice story from The Buzz Magazines featuring “Post Oak Boulevard: A Texas Legacy” and the film screening that John Daughtery Realtors hosted at Del Frisco’s this week: http://bit.ly/2arqqVz

Thanks to everyone who appeared in the program and provided archive visuals — the program is set to premiere on KLRU in Austin on Thursday, September 8, 2016.

A few lucky Buzz residents were invited to a private screening of “Post Oak Blvd.: A Texas Legacy,” this week, hosted by John Daugherty of John Daugherty, Realtors and Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse’s General Manager Zaidi Syed.
