and heard by the 120,000+ local and inter/national influencers and tastemakers in Austin during SxSW every year! Started in 2009 by a group of passionate Houston advocates to address an anomaly in low acceptances of Houston talent to SxSW panels and showcases, The-Event-Formerly-Known-as-Houston@SXSW grew into "HoustonTXSW," and in 2012 evolved into C2xSW – a full-fledged outreach initiative under the stewardship of C2 Creative, Houston's first 501c3 nonprofit Creative Accelerator. Dedicated to fostering creative commerce and community, C2 Creative has adopted C2xSW in its mission to support and promote Greater Houston's creative talent to a global audience. Now in its fourth year, C2xSW 2012 will showcase Houston Film/Music/Tech through "The Official Unofficial All of Where the Wild Things Are Interaction Packed Adventure Extravaganza!” orbiting the conference in Austin. As always, we aim to showcase Houston on a grand scale, proactively engaging inter/national thought leaders and influencers to connect them with Houston creators and innovators. For 2012, we take it one step further by developing an online directory and virtual archive that extends past the conference and will live on through C2 as a creative community resource. More than the average “booze & bcards” party, C2xSW is a public event (no badge necessary!) concocted by many of the same people behind awesomenesses(es) like TEDx Houston ... so be prepared for a plethora of surprises!
