We’re excited to invite you to a special talk titled “Practical Lessons from a Local Entrepreneur” on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Al‑Sham Center, 5729 Winsome Lane, Houston, TX 77057.
Our guest speaker is Wisam Nahhas, a Syrian‑American entrepreneur and author from Houston. Wisam co‑founded Instafuel, leading it through rapid growth and acquisition by Shell, and now serves as CEO of JuryQ, a modern GovTech platform for courts.

This talk coincides with the launch of Wisam’s debut book, Success, Intended, which distills practical lessons from his entrepreneurial journey — including how to start, scale, and exit companies with clarity and purpose. Wisam will share key stories, takeaways, and frameworks from the book, offering valuable insights for aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals, and anyone interested in leadership and innovation.

Coffee and refreshments will be provided by Atrium Coffee Roasters.

This weekend’s Syrian Club Fall Picnic was something special. 🍂💚
Beautiful weather, amazing food, kids playing nonstop, and so many familiar (and new!) faces. It was the kind of day that reminds you how good community can feel.

✨ What an unforgettable night! ✨
On behalf of the Syrian American Club Board, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make our Gala such a resounding success.

From the elegant ballroom and the lively “Syrian Corner,” to the stirring national anthems, vibrant entertainment, and a wonderful silent auction, every detail reflected the spirit of our community.

This year’s celebration was extra special as we honored our scholarship recipients, marked our 35th anniversary, and paid tribute to our esteemed chairman, Mr. Bassam Barazi. None of it would have been possible without the dedication and teamwork of so many.
