🌟🌟 Community Spotlight: Mayla Alyafi 🌟🌟

The Syrian American Club is proud to recognize Mayla Alyafi, who recently completed eighth grade at ILM Academy, for her dedication to serving families in need within our community. As part of a class charity initiative, Mayla helped organize a project focused on preparing and distributing care boxes to local families.

Through the generosity and support of community members, the project was able to provide 12 care boxes for 12 families.

Each box included essential food staples, household and hygiene supplies. Working alongside the Syrian American Club gave Mayla firsthand experience in community service and demonstrated the impact that collective efforts can have on supporting families facing challenges.
Reflecting on the project, Mayla shared:

“Being part of something that directly helped families in need taught me valuable lessons about compassion, teamwork, leadership, and gratitude. It inspired me to continue volunteering and finding more ways to give back to the community in the future.”

Mayla also expressed her appreciation to the volunteers, donors, and community supporters whose generosity helped make the project possible.

We are inspired by young leaders like Mayla, whose commitment to service reminds us every act of kindness can create a lasting impact throughout our community.
