WHLI is about convening, promoting and connecting. We convene a class of 25-30 each year that promotes civic leadership by connecting with civic leaders on issues that impact West Houston. Our mission is to build a committed, informed, and engaged core of community leaders to care for West Houston. CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP. Community leadership programs identify issues of community interest, increase community networking, and increase understanding of civic responsibility. WHLI supports leaders who have a commitment to civic engagement, to learning, and to collaboration.
