Hoy celebramos el séptimo aniversario de la inclusión de la CONAVEX en la Federación Internacional de Asociaciones Vexilológicas - FIAV, convirtiéndose en su 73° miembro asociado, este día marcó un hito para la proyección internacional de la Vexilología en Chile 🌐.

En la fotografía están presentes Steffan Giadach Axt Experto en banderas y escudos , primer presidente de la CONAVEX, Cristóbal Barra Cisterna Cristóbal Barra Cisterna , primer secretario de la CONAVEX y Andreas Guillén Meza, actual presidente de la CONAVEX desde el presente año. Los tres se reunieron en el Centro Cultural GAM en Santiago Centro donde estuvieron atentos a las noticias que llegaban desde la ciudad estadounidense de San Antonio 🇺🇲, donde se estaba celebrando el XXVIII Congreso Internacional de Vexilología y donde los miembros de la FIAV votaron a favor de la admisión de nuestra corporación como uno de sus miembros activos. La fotografía fue tomada tras recibir la noticial que confirmaba la admisión 🎉.

Reiteramos nuestro agradecimiento a Gustav Tracchia (ARG) y a Ted Kaye (USA) por su apoyo en las gestiones que permitieron que se pudiese concretar este anhelo colectivo de los miembros de nuestra Corporación 🤝🏻.

Esperamos que la presencia internacional de la CONAVEX se acrecente por el paso del tiempo y podamos cumplir el anhelo de llevar una delegación de forma constante a los Congresos Internacionales de Vexilología 🇨🇱.

Join us on Saturday, June 13, for a full day of activities in honor of Flag Day!

Come by between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to see one of the rarest—and largest!—flags in the States Archives’ collection, a 28-star U.S. flag that served as the national flag from July 4, 1846, until July 4, 1847.

Curious about how Texas became the 28th state? The state historian, Dr. Richard “Rick” McCaslin will discuss this historic event at 11:00a.m.

The Texas Center for the Book will host a special episode of at 2:00p.m. highlighting the book "Texas Before the Lone Star" and the period before statehood.
