Some losses never leave us.

On July 25, Persia Amarra Conway's family will gather to celebrate her life, honor her memory, and remind the world that she mattered.

As a community, we often show up in the days immediately following tragedy. But what families carry is not a moment of grief, it is a lifetime of missing someone they love.

Long after the headlines fade and social media moves on, they are still navigating birthdays, holidays, and everyday moments without the person who should be there.

If you're in the Georgia area, I encourage you to stand with Persia's family. Your presence, your prayers, your support, or even sharing this invitation can make a difference.

Persia's story does not end with her passing. It lives on through her family, the people who loved her, and a community that refuses to let her be forgotten.

Let's continue to show what love, solidarity, and community look like, not just in moments of crisis, but for the long road that follows.

Please keep Persia's loved ones in your hearts and, if you're able, join them on July 25 as they celebrate a life that deserved so much more time.

💜 Rest in Power, Persia. Your light continues to shine through all who carry your memory forward.💜💗💜💜

"Persia Amarra Conway was loved. Persia Amarra Conway mattered. Persia Amarra Conway deserved to grow old, to chase her dreams, and to live the beautiful life she envisioned for herself."
-Persia's mother, Michelle

Our hearts are broken. Last week, Houston lost Persia Amarra Conway, a 33-year-old transgender woman, far too soon. To those who loved her, she was kind-hearted, funny, fearless, and a light in every room.

Violence against transgender women, especially trans women of color, continues at unacceptable rates, and no one should carry that grief alone. Her mother promised to speak her name. So will we.

We invite you to gather with us to remember Persia.

Tuesday, June 2
Doors open at 6 PM
401 Branard Street, Houston, TX 77006

"Persia Amarra Conway fue amada. Persia Amarra Conway importaba.
